Little Clandon, Surrey

This project began with a full building survey at the time of purchase. Plans were then developed to extend and delicately refurbish this house, which dates from the 17th Century, to turn it into a modern home for a busy family. As project managers, Stiles & Co developed a schedule of works and monitored progress through the pre-tender and construction phases. Stiles & Co solved technical difficulties on site and provided design services throughout the project.

Developing Building Regulation drawings and construction details, Stiles & Co produced bathroom layouts and feature details, which included vaulted ceilings to expose historic timber beams and rafters. Procured under a JCT contract, Stiles & Co fulfilled the Contract Administrator’s role to see the project through to the final moving in stages and produced a final account to complete the financial aspects of the project.
