Surveys

Full Building Surveys

The full building survey is a comprehensive and detailed inspection of the property and is particularly recommended for older, larger or altered/extended properties as well as those that are known to be in a poor state of repair. All elements of the building are inspected, including grounds and boundaries, with recommendations made for repair and maintenance. Plumbing, heating and electrical installations are operated and commented upon, with recommendations for further specialist inspection if thought necessary. The full building survey report is flexible and can accommodate your particular concerns or queries. An insurance rebuild figure and a market valuation can be included if required.

The RICS Homebuyer Report

The RICS HomeBuyer Report gives you information on the condition and current market value of the property. All principal elements of the property are inspected, including grounds and permanent outbuildings and the report comments on urgent and significant defects that may have a cost implication, while potential defects are highlighted for further investigation by specialists. It is a useful tool for standard, relatively modern properties that have not been altered or extended and appear to be in good condition. The report includes condition ratings for ease of understanding.

Property Health Check

Stiles & Co offer a ‘Property Health Check’ to help maximise the value of your house by producing a pre-sale or vendor’s report, providing a checklist of works to undertake before launching your property onto the market.

Walkround Surveys

For client’s wishing to by a property via auction we offer a Walkround survey which is to simply identify significant structural defects with the property to provide a fuller picture of necessary remedial works. The survey will assist you in capping the value of any bids you might place on a property to ensure sufficient funds are retained to cover the cost of essential rectification works.
